Which cracking group is meant here?
Found this in 1000cc Turbo intro [CRYSTAL] (btw - with great musix by Tronic!), but it remains obscure which group is actually meant.
Either someone happens to know the group described here, or this thread will fill up with lots of assumptions But I almost bet that someone knows whom this description refers to. (And yes, I too would have some nice suggestions ) |

Paranoimia was long dead - probably Skid Row ;-)
Galahad is closest with Prodigy or maybe Interpol, though their reputation was sound. I'd put money on Skid Row who went a little release crazy at the time. Though I do remember a few "previews" from Fairlight (though they were always clearly marked in the intro) ;-) |

I'd say Skid Row as well. Nobody ever seemed to like them, and Crystal often bashed them.
But I guess Galahad knows best. EDIT: 1000cc Turbo is from 1990, and I don't think Prodigy even existed at that time. It's definitely Skid Row! |

I find it unlikely that Skid Row would have been the target. They released a tonne of quality cracks from 1990 onwards and were first with many huge titles like Lemmings and SWIV.
I would guess Paranoimia myself assuming 1990 is correct. Although it seemed to be Quartex that had the big war with Paranoimia. |

Nevertheless there was always a big conflict between Skid Row and Crystal, and the latter expressed that in many cracktros. Just check out the Gameboy-style Cracktro from Crystal ("Is your I.Q. below..., Do you wear thick glasses..., etc.").

Quartex and Paranoimia were at 'war' with each other.
Angels and Paradox were at 'war' with each other. Crystal and Paranoimia NEVER existed at the same time, Paranoimia was dead and reformed as Skid Row. Paranoimia and Oracle existed at the same time. Crystal appeared from the ashes of Oracle, and I never heard of a war between Crystal and Quartex. Prodigy started by releasing previews, Quartex never did, in fact they released Toki thinking it was a beta preview (which they stated) but it was in fact the full game. The reason why most people think Prodigy didn't start that early is because you cannot recognise many releases from them in that period, because most of their early releases were banned and deleted. |

In answer to the original message, the target was Skid Row - clue is in the text "All that pseudo-group does is BLOW", since the name people used for Skid Row when they were slagging them off was "Kids Blow" (I know, hysterical...).
