Fan Replacement (CDTV)

Hello Guys , a few question...

can i replace the actual "back-fan" on a CDTV with a new and compatible one?
I don't know the specs.
Just because it is too noise after years.

Can you suggest me where to buy (EUROPE) ? Regards

Yes, It's a standard fitting (4 screws and nuts).

Any PC parts type of shop.

The standard fan in my CDTV isn't that noisy, obviously yours is on the way out if you can hear it or you've got really sensitive ears

The original fan in my CDTV was a Panaflo DC Brushless, DC 12V 0.14A. Googling the part number suggests it is a 60x60x25mm size.

It toggles between Scart and old RF Ariel connection.

PC fans have a temp sensor, so that is what the third wire is.
You could use the cable from the CDTV and solder it to the new fan.

Sorry if i disturb you again...

So , i need only to cut and solder the 2 main power cable with the respective cdtv cable and exclude the 3rd sensor cable on the new fan (cause i have only 2 cable)?

Is the sensor cable supported by CDTV mainboard, cause i notice however a free third pin on the old fan connector.

Yes, the 2 wires from the original is all you need to make the fan work.

I have no idea. It actually never occurred to me until you mentioned it.

No, it's a three pin connector but it's simply 12V and ground (in outer pins).
