Speaking of which, I finally managed to find a solution to flash my cpld's - used a different cable and program which managed to see the chain - only trouble is that I now see a black/dark screen at startup - it's clearly a sync signal of some description as the screen sees it as a valid signal..
Just waiting on an adapter so I can flash diagrom and see what the problem is.. |

Few reasons why I can't right now. Firstly I have no stock left. Secondly the moment you put a CPLD on it and it runs over 25Mhz it becomes subject to export control (classed as munitions capable - I know why but I won't elaborate). Finally I have no way to verify my soldering is good before I ship. :/ On a side note I will never ship anything to any country with any form of current UN Embargo. Period. I will also refuse to sell/assist to anyone whom is suspect may be reselling to Russia or other embargoed countries. The TF530 is capable of being used as a standalone computing device with a clock frequency of > 25mhz. This classes it as munitions capable unfortunately. EDIT: the obvious workaround for Russians is to order directly from DirtyPCBs if they'll ship to Russia Last edited by plasmab; 05 September 2017 at 16:03. |

Ahh, that explains the declaration I had to sign when ordering the cpld's from digikey...

This seems like a ridiculous embargo considering there are export licenses which permits export of any type of goods to Russia, and a licensed supplier is probably what a weapons R&D business in Russia would use, or just importing the parts from Chinese factories directly. In any case, I doubt they order small amounts of CPLDs under the guise of being classic Amiga users. Anyway, I think tnt23 already got the help he needed, a community without borders. |

TBH I've seen a company I worked for get screwed by these export rules and I have no intention of doing jail time for my hobby. No matter what my opinions are. I will err on the side of caution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just in case, I have to say that supaduper was unable to assist due to reasons which I fully understand. Thanks everyone concerned, let's take this off topic.

The BOM is on the GitHub page, it's the same as the Revision 3 one although you don't need C14-C17.

It was pretty scary to solder these CPLDs but I got a TF530 rev. 3 running. Yeah!
I got a cheap MC68EC030RP40B and MC68882FN40A from China and the CPU runs stable at 42MHz but it gets quite hot and sometimes crashes during startup. With the FPU installed I just get a yellow screen, so I guess I should lower the frequency or look for better parts I couldn’t get the IDE working; the activity LED comes on for a while but the drive isn’t recognized. Before spending more time on debugging this issue I would like to know if I’m running the latest stable firmware. The version I got is the 2017_7_30_tf530, can anyone confirm that the IDE interface works with this version? |

You haven't attached INT2 to the A500 edge connector? That's why IDE will take 2 weeks to load. I can confirm that IDE works perfectly on my build rev3s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

But now that it is connected I'm able to mount my hard drive using Kickstart 1.3 and a floppy with a patched scsi.device. Thank you |
