TFT and winUAE
Okay, I did a search about TFT before making this post, but I would like to ask a few things. Last night, I tried to use winUAE for the first time since I got my TFT. With my previous CRT monitor, it was showing that speedwise was 100% @ 50Hz. Yesterday, I tried to play KO2 and noticed a lack of speed. I checked speed and FPS and it was showing as 133% and 35Hz? The only way was to force the refresh rate to 54Hz (to get full speed since at 50Hz, the game was a bit slower), deactivate VSync and put the drop down of Hzs to default . This increased the speed of the game to the actual speed, however, sound also increased the playback speed.
Speedwise it was about 5%! Speed seems right but sound is like hearing lemmings! I am not sure if I can do something else, my TFT cannot display 50Hz. In case that anyone has a TFT monitor and found a suitable solution, please post it here. |

Unfortunately the only way is to get a TFT that supports 50 hz...
Many ViewSonic and Sony models do, check their techspec _before_ buying. Or wait until 100hz models appear... |

60hz is the ntsc speed. 98% of Amiga games software especially hardware banging ones are originating from Europe, and run as intended on pal, although most run ok with slight sound speedup in ntsc too.
Most tft displays support 56hz, that's the lowest you can go with syncing. After a few hours locking the machine to this speed you'll get used to it. Of course you can try to swap your tft for an 50hz one, for most people it does not matter, for emulation users, especially people emulating pal systems it is a must. |

Unfortunately, my TFT is brand new. I have it for about 40 days now. It's a 10ms one. I suppose I have to live with it.
