Slamtilt running in background :S
I need your help with Slamtilt and Winuae.
Workbench with picasso emulation, 800x600x16bits. I can hear a sound after launch, game sounds to run normally, but i still see workbench, Amiga+M seems to have no effect. wth? Is that normal behavour while using Picasso modes? I assume i need to use native modes to launch this game? No workaround? You know, i never had any gfx card in my real Amigas, so it is new problem for me. Last edited by xoen; 09 February 2010 at 07:45. |

Many games do not properly initialize display mode changes but directly pokes new parameters to custom chips. RTG software can't detect this. (and most games disable multitasking -> no more Amiga-M)
(It should be possible to detect this in emulation but it would only result in confusion because display parameters may not be in state that game expects resulting in display corruption or sound issues..) Possible solutions: manual switch to native mode first, create a script that automatically switch to native mode temporarily (switch mode, run game, switch back) or whdload. |
