Unreal and Bubba'n'Stix

Unreal with emulatated A500 (sps release)

in the jump'n'run levels (second level for example) there is a wrong right screen border.

in titlescreen (not the first screen) type ordilogicus, press return in first level to quik jump in second level

by the way game sound fx sounds only ok in cycle exact mode.

Bubba'n'Stix with emulatated A500 (sps release)

in second level and following there is a wrong graphic line

in password screen type T1QKPF?CMG to quick jump second level

Confirmed. Same problem as in T-Racer.

Reason is simple but not so easy to fix. Game changes background color when hpos>=0 and vpos increased by one (hpos 0-17 or so are visible in right border!). This isn't emulated properly and I don't see any easy fixes..

Confirmed too. Basically same problem as in Disposable Hero titlescreen.

Technical explanation for second problem:

Emulation does two passes/scanline. First pass emulates custom chips, second pass converts collected data to host display mode and merges bitplanes and sprites etc..

Changes to BPLCONx-registers in mid horizontal line are only processed at the end of line (only color changes are done properly)

Disposable Hero changes resolution, Bubba'n'Stix changes sprite-bitplane priority. Line should be hidden under the wall (whole background image is done with sprite number 7 using copper and non-dma sprite mode)

I have had plans to fix this years ago.. Unfortunately this isn't trivial update.

sounds for a lot of work. take your time
other things I have seen, don't know if a bug

Lionheart with emulated A500

The background gets garbage very shortly every few seconds (randomly)

I don't have a real A500 but the game doesn't show such behaviour on my real A1200.

Amberstar with emulated A500

have a look at the wrong horizontal line in the door graphic

here is a savestate

maybe someone can check it. the Amberstar version from planetemu shows the same "problem".

Are there any other known problems in A500 emulation?

i can confirm the Lionheart bug, but it can be fixed with a cycle exact setting. This fixes also a spriteflickering bug in the Level where you riding your animal.

ok, you are right. A short flickering every 20-30 seconds. But i noticed this only in newer versions of WinUAE.
