Wizzy's Quest (PD) Level codes - and [Request] for Level editor

Hi,
this PD game, written in GFA-Basic (compiled), is available in 2 languages:
the Original, german version can be found in the "Berliner Spielkiste" collection #44 (and few other collections)
and has following passwords:

LVL - PWD

05: TOLKIEN
10: RAISTLIN
15: EMPIRE
20: HIPPO
30: GAMBLER
35: OMEGA
40: CADE
45: NEWORDER

The modified (to) English language version is on Aminet, and has following passwords:

05: WISEMAN
10: DOORWAYS
15: MAGGIT
20: X-MAN
30: HAWKEYE
35: AMIGO
40: CADE
45: ASTRONUT

On the intro part of the Game, they say that a Level editor is, as well, accessible.
Does anyone know how to open it ?

After some research I assume following:

The level editor password is 4-8 characters, because all the level passwords are that length. It is highly unlike to be longer than 11 characters, otherwise the creators would have noticed the bug that creates permanet X-characters outside on the right side of the password box. Just test it to see what I mean.

I believe if only letters were used they were all capitalized like in level password. Numbers and some special characters could have been used.

But if the level editor password is like the original level passwords, it is unlikely to be german language word, since none of the german version or english version level passwords are.

If you test passwords manually, press fire after each try to avoid game to do its animations in between.

I have already tested many if not all character strings from game exe and the documentation that look like they could be passwords.

If password is modern mix of characters and not dictionary type, it cannot be found with random manual testing.

There seems to be even less discussion about this game in german Amiga forums than in english ones. It is easier to believe most of them who have donated with snail mail in the past and still have the level password written down in their disk or whatever, could be reached through there.

How do you get to the highscore list? I scored more than 3 names in the high score list but did not get there (to test what keys and characters actually are programmed to work in game). Maybe it is because in this english version the translator HAWKEYE is with top score in the end of the list.

You could try all the possible passcodes, you don't enter the editor this way

I can believe that not even the programmers of the game remembered it, it's too weird!

In main screen (the one where you select whether to play, enter the password, exit..) select "COPYRIGHTS".
Wait the page display then press 'E' (yes, shift-e or with Caps-Lock).
Now press (and keep pressed!) the mouse button, and finally press the joystick button.

The level editor appears

The goal clearly was to come up with something you will never ever trigger by accident. Mission succeeded!

I've added it to the cheat notes on HOL That's indeed one way to prevent opening the editor by accident
