CDTV Value?
Just a hypothetical, as I'm *thinking about* getting rid of my CDTV.
Details: Scuffed case as to be expected from age but in perfect working order, 5-pin DIN Amiga keyboard adaptor (A2000, A3000, etc), Regular 9-pin Amiga mouse & joystick ports added, 2 CD caddies, External floppy drive (not the black one), 2 remotes (one NOS in bag, one used). What do you reckon a reasonable asking price would be if I decide to sell? PZ. |

If it is all standard... $150 AUD
If it had a CDTV black keyboard, mouse, floppy drive & was boxed you could have doubled it. Add a 2MB Chip RAM upgrade, latest CDTV ROMS, KS3.1 40.63, SCSI module with SCSI->IDE->CF and an 8 MByte upgrade and then I would have bought it |

Thanks for your input Alex
$150 is under what it has cost me to date, but I'm realistic in the understanding that you never get back what you put in dollar-wise & seems like a very fair price. If I do sell, the price will be $150AUD. PZ. |

I have seen them go for more in AU. But that said I snagged one for $90AU a couple of years ago and that had a keyboard + mouse.

I can get a nice CDTV system going locally (in japan)
How much do you think is this lot worth ? I think I can get it for about 100 USD or 150 USD max ... but, should I ? (I already have a nice A3000 and really don't need anoher ECS system (I also have two A500+s with 030's) ) |

$100 USD sounds good. You've got all the kit there, mouse, keyboard, floppy, controller. All in black.
If they still have the box then you'll be laughing. Sell one of the A500+'s to finance the CDTV upgrade process. The CDTV has a much larger living room WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) and you'd easily get you Amiga under your TV! |

I bought mine for 300DKR or about 80AUD for about 2 years ago.
Looks like new, with remote, black mouse, kickstart switcher, black 3,5" floppy drive, black keyboard, black C1084 monitor, 6 cd-caddies and a lot of disks and cds, a few originals among them I bought a spare CDTV, no extras, just a caddy and a remote for 50DKR or about 13AUD. Sometimes I'm just luckey But I know it was very cheap! I'm sure you will get a lot more for yours! |

I think he means non-AGA.
You could upgrade a CDTV to ECS if you need to Last edited by alexh; 20 January 2009 at 01:02. |

I might be interested in a fully functional good looking CDTV. It can lack anything I can buy as spares in some webshop. I live in Sweden.

I'm currently looking at an local ad where a guy wants to sell off a bunch of Amiga stuff.
The two machines I'm interested in is an Amiga 2000 and a CDTV. The A2000 is described as stock with keyboard ans SCSI HD. It's booting up WB 3.0 without issue. He wants 83GBP for it. The CDTV has a black external floppy, black keyboard, remote and a couple of titles. 95GBP. I don't know the state of the machines as there are no pictures, only images found on the web. The A2K is sold "as is", so I take it's not exactly a prime example. The CDTV is described as having some scratches, but in good state considering the age. Of course I need to see em before I buy, but should I just forget about it and wait for something else to show up? |

Barter them down 25% on the CDTV and it would be a good value for money deal.
You don't want an A2000, save your money for upgrades to your CDTV. |

He'll never sell it at £95 local pickup only.
Look at some previous sales on eBay CDTV + Disk Drive & Games (No Keyboard) = £63 A500, A2000 & CDTV = £125!! Go straight in and offer £60 and work up to £75 and if he won't sell walk away and wait for the next one. £75 is still expensive IMO for a 1Mbyte OCS Amiga!
