Er, yeah, I'm guessing it's ok to use Normal mode with the games rapid fire switched on?

Yes, Normal Mode and Rapid Fire On are the standard settings so use them.
@turrican3 Of course, nobody has to ask to participate! Hopefully you can play a bit more often, we are short of regular players (I think it's just me, Lonewolf, Harry and Mailman who play regularly at EAB). |

I'm back for this. Never played it before despite having it. Feels like the best of the series from my 30 min play just now. More complete and flowing.
Scored terrible so some practise before I show any scores. Count me back |

I agree with that. I'm not a fan of the first two games but this one just hangs together a lot better for me. It has a different 'feel' about it but one I much prefer. I like it.

Finally a non-driving game that I'm quite good at!
What are people using as a config on this? I've just had a crash at 69000-ish points on a WB2 500+ setup. Annoying! At the end of the water level and the boss. |

Missed 14 diamonds in this run, so there is still a small room for improvement. Playing time was about 3 h. As lifes are not rewarded, anyone playing this should look in every corner to find all the diamonds. The only problem is to get the weapon refilled after dying (mostly due running out timer). Also looking into the same area more than once can yield more monsters, some do not spawn by the first visit. |

Annoyingly crashes at the same point for me. Time to try different disks! (been using ADFs I've had for years) Anyway here's a score to submit.

Ok, I've got bored here. Picked up 8 lives and missed out on 5 on the last level!!!! It's just not grabbing me to keep on playing. I could've carried on but I just don't want too. Maybe if I get the time.

Got all the diamonds this time, and will concentrate on this rather than making a good 15th place at Twintris. |

I still don't like the Turrican games, but I didn't do too bad on my second attempt.
How come they got away with an Alien themed level (dog aliens, alien head platforms, face huggers complete with eggs) when it doesn't (appear to) have anything to do with the film companies behind Alien? 118,635 |

I always wondered that myself. Btw., you should really play again and see that world's boss!

Finished on my second proper go. Missed quite a few things but I lost the will to live on the alien levels, far too tedious. Other than though, a moderately enjoyable game.

The second try today, missing 2 diamonds. The first ended on the alien world when an exit was blocked by a rectangle of random garbage - looks as if a blit went wrong. I jumped on some monsters head and could have scored about 1 k more. But I also have no clue where the other 5 k of Lifeschools score came from. |
