Another one returning
Hey guys,
I'm another Amigan returning to the fold. Was bought up on Amigas from the day my Dad bought home our first A500 in '88 (can still remember that freshly unpacked Amiga smell!) until the sad day in '99 when I had to sell my towered 1200 to fund a PC for university Quake. I used to write games in Amos and Blitz, had a couple in the Amiga Format Reader's Games section (Gloss Finish and Psychoblast) and almost had a commercial release called Skimmers, a preview build of which is still available on Aminet. I always promised myself that one day when I had the means, I'd get myself an A1200 again. And I'm now patiently waiting delivery of a fairly white-looking machine from Ebay. My intention is to preserve it as best as possible, and only make upgrades that fit in the desktop case (CF HD, 1230-IV, 3.1 upgrade etc). Great to see so many of you keeping the dream alive
