Setting up CF with WinUAE
Hi there,
I have a 4Gb Compact Flash which I am trying to configure with WinUAE to then use in my A1200 (using the IDE adapter). I have partitioned the card and successfully formatted it ready for use as 1 bootable partition DH0 500Mb and 1 DH1 Games Partition 3.5Gb. I have loaded in the WB3.1 installation disks as floppies and the system seemed to install WB fine. When I reboot WinUAE and remove the bootable floppies it only shows a dos prompt and doesn't boot into WB. When I reboot using WB Install floppy then I take a look at DH0 and there is only one folder in there called storage.. any ideas ? Lensteruk |

PFS3?
Probably you were too fast. When asked to reboot after installation wait at least five seconds before you react. Also watch the HDD LED. It will stay dark for a few seconds after the last write, then blink once. That's the signal that you may reboot. |
