Super Buster 11

First of all is it super buster 11 (eleven) or II (2) ?

I have an 3000D and a DCE Cybervision 64\3D and
was just wondering if i need super buster 11 to get this
card to run properly ?

At the moment i keep getting random results from this card
when i boot up.

Sometimes the screen is garbled graphics & sometimes it just
show the workbench top bar and thats it !

Any ideas ?

This issue got nothing to do with the Buster (it IS indeed 11 (eleven !!!))

This is due to a bug in adressing the Zorro III Ports on the Mainboard and the Autosensing ZII/ZIII Cybervision 64/3D I donĀ“t know any workaround for this, my friend also got this issue, after a year of fiddling around he gave up and sold the CV 64/3D and bought a CV 64 (which is Zorro III only) and it works like a charm ....

It's 11 (eleven).

The Buster chips which manage the zorro III bus arbitration have a little bug in them before this that causes a few probs with zorro III transfers. The best solution is to replace the Buster chip with a rev 11 one to solve the problem AFAIK Power Computing in the UK has these available, or you could try eyetech.

Yes It solves SOME problems with ZIII but not this one here But it seems that only some of the A3000 Mainboards got this prob with the CV64/3D, I know of at least two people here who had absolutely no problems with installing a CV64/3D in their A3000 ....

Well i put the cybervison in my A2000 and it works a treat...except
that when i try to go into screen modes it keeps crashing ?

I presume this is down to not enough memory ?

1mb chip,4mb fast......

I installed my 2mb Piccolo card into my A3000 and it works no
problem at all !

Not sure about that one THX1138 - I'd definately get as much RAM (chip & fast) as you can!

I have just received another Cybervision 3D card....this one is
made by Phase 5 and not DCE.

I tried this one in my A3000 and this one works !!!!

Got no idea why the DCE version doesn't work....do you ?

Yep DCE were a German version of Amstrad, they used the cheapest parts and build quality they could get away with (as long as the product lasted until the warranty finished, they were happy).
