Just finished "Max Payne" on the original Xbox
I got given the game but never played it... I read that it was quite short so I thought I would give it a quick go over Xmas. It is looking dated now of course but it is still a lot of fun to play - I rattled through it pretty quickly but I would recommend it for a quick semi-retro blast! |

Never played MP1. MP2 gave me a lot of head aches though, but that was maybe because in those days I wasn't used to bullet time yet and I simply didn't use it

Just started "Red Faction Guerrilla" on the Xbox 360
It's a bit like a GTA game only on Mars... I enjoyed the first RF game - hated the 2nd but this 3rd game is pretty good so far even though the game play does seem to be going at a frantic pace! |

modern warfare 2 xbox 360. The single player campaign is badly written [storywise] disjointed and silly rubbish. The multiplayer is great on hardcore - though i think i will play the first one more when i get the pc rebuilt. So many squeeky kids on xbox really annoy me - most are about 10yrs old playing an 18 game; dont seem to get em on pc. besides that the new game has pretty much done its best to peeve off pc gamers by dropping dedicated server support and using a silly network approach the same as the consoles. Also i dont think the 2nd one has the hardcore feel of the first, almost like its trying to hard to be to many things to too many people. perhaps its just that we were spoilt by the first and the more minimalist first one will have more long term appeal. Indeed now there are less people playing it on xboxlive you can get a much better ping.

I personally think Call of Duty got a bit sloppy after the 4th installment. I also agree that using a PC to play online is your best bet at avoiding annoying little console kiddies... unless you play World of Warcraft
I'm currently playing Crysis Warhead multiplayer online |

I played the first two areas on normal setting and it was quite tough (for me anyway) I got there in the end... now I am in the third area (Badlands) and although I still had the game difficulty set at normal the jump in difficulty seems a bit steep... I have got a bit frustrated with this area as I KEEP ON GETTING KILLED! I thought I would lower the setting to casual and now I am p*ssing through it although the racing from one area to another parts still seem to be a challenge. Somewhere along the line I don't think that this game has been finely tuned enough in the game play level settings - which is a shame because it is shaping into an excellent game. Anyone else played this...? MazinKaesar - what did you think while you were playing it? |

As soon as the lounge warms up it's Fallout 3 for the majority of the day. Time seems to fly by!

@mancalledSun
Fallout 3 is awesome. I am still playing it too I am doing all the add-ons before i finish the main quests and all the miscellaneous quests too. i couldnt bare the thought of the game ending so i stopped doing the main quest line towards the end. trouble is i am lvl29 and can just mash anything that i come across - still fun though |

Beneath a steel sky on real 1200 - just to see what the fuss is about. To be honest I'm not convinced.
