Freewheel steering wheel - usage & games supporting it

Hello! I just received my Freewheel by Logic 3 from post and now I'm just wondering how to use it.

It has the normal joyport-connector plug, but do I connect it into the joystick or mouse port? I've heard that Nigel Mansell's World Championship supports the wheel but how do you configure it in-game and to use it? And how to use it in Virtual GP?

Also I had in mind to make a list of Freewheel-supported games here, because I couldn't find one anywhere, so let's begin with the ones I know of:

Nigel Mansell's World Championship
Virtual GP

Found out Nigel Mansell's World Championship manual here
It wasn't NM Grand Prix after all that supported Freewheel.

F**k! It's the DIGITAL version of the wheel . I wasn't paying enough attention to the model of the wheel, just saw it's compatible to the Amiga and bought it straight away...

Well I'll be back when I get my hands on the ANALOG version of this sucker.
LOL

You're right DDNI, that's the one. And it is DIGITAL
But I can still recommend retrogames as a seller, the wheel came fast by post

I'm huntin' the analog one now...

If it employs some kind of PWM modulation it might be ok in racing games etc., even if it's digital. In that case it might even be compatible with all games designed for joystick usage?

Well it's kinda tricky but works anyway, it's got joystick like controls.

Yes it mimics joystick movements when you tilt the wheel, but dunno if it's good for anything other than racing/flight-sim games. Imagine playing something like track&field with it

I must say I don't know the innards and will return it back. The wheel only calibrates to the right though, so somethings not right on the insides.
I will consider other options and say: "I'll be back!"

Never knew about this site! The price is not too bad too!

http://www.retrogames.co.uk/more/on/details/028360 - nice example!

http://www.retrogames.co.uk/more/on/details/028496 - lol "awaiting stock" - I've got a bunch of these in the attack... in fact, I've got a bunch of a lot of old controllers, and to my recollection they still work!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C64-Spectr...item257d11ae3b - wow! 99p!
