Compatible PC floppy drive for A500 case?

Nathan is posting me one of his new floppy adapter boards. But I still need to source a PC floppy drive that will fit inside an A500. The biggest problem is that the disk slot needs to align with the slot on the case. I tried one drive but the inserting angle was diagonalized. No go on that one.

Any drives that are known to fit well inside an A500?

You just need to mount it higher. Add some spacers between the two rear bolt holes and the drive.

no problem mate... it wasn't very hard either and considering I'm not that great at stuff like that

it was just a bit or careful measuring and then filing and sanding to fit.

You're too modest.

That really is an excellent modification which anyone can carry out with a bit of care, and very useful for those with Amiga wedges, good original floppy drives for which are becoming harder to find and more expensive as time goes by.

The only giveaway is the slight colour mismatch between the filler compound and the case, unavoidable in any case due to the tendency of the cases to yellow with time.
