Is my CPU damaged?

i really have a lot of problems with my amiga, especially when the accelerator i in.

Are there any software which can be used to test the cpu?

i recently sold my backup card, which is the same as the one i got now (dkb1240 - 030 accelerator)

my old one had a 28 mhz cpu and the one i got now has a 50 mhz.

can it be some sort of timing issue?

I've been writing with someone else on the forum and he says that he had absolutely no problems with hes dkb1240 using whdload, i didn't with my old one either, but my new one comes up with a lot of "illegal instruction error" , Addressing errors and such.

So i would really like to get my hands on some software for testing the cpu.

Some A1200 motherboards need modifications to use certain accelerator boards.

i got a 1D4 board, but i did already check up on the timing fixes.
The resistors that it said should be removed is not there, so i can only asume that it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, aren't the problem mainly with 040-060 accelerators?

No idea.

Other suggestions :
  • Review all the jumper settings and crystal values on your card.
  • If fitted, remove the FPU & FPU crystal and set the FPU jumper appropriately.
  • Change your PSU.
  • Check what patches & programs you have in s/startup-sequence etc.
  • Reinstall AmigaOS.
