Perpetual restarting after boot.
When I insert the installation disk, the A3000 board powers up till the screen asks for a floppy, but after that, the floppy drive chugs for a bit before the power led flashes four or five times and I receive a software error ( in rectangular box). The same symptoms persist when I use 3.2 floppies or jumpstart roms. Voltages in the power supply are good. Any advice would be much appreciated!

What version kickstart are you using in rom (does it match the workbench version or close)? Are you certain that your install disk is for the a3000? Do you have an 060 installed by chance?
After reviewing those, try booting without the startup-sequence and see if it still crashes. I would surmise a software incompatibility. Take out items from your startup sequence to see where it starts to go wrong. I had this happen to me a while back and it was indeed something in my startup-sequence. J |

Can you post the number displayed in the software error?
As recommended above you should try ATK and test all the memory, if that fails to work at all you should test your system using DiagROM |
