I'd be more interested to see benchmarks and if/how they implemented burst mode for fastmem. If they're promising feb 2014 for mass-production, there MUST be a working prototype already. Eight weeks is already really fast for organizing mass-production, so all their development and stability testing must be done by now. No reason to hold back photos, AIBB modules and Bustest results.

To me, this announcement smells like a Christmas spoiler against competitors products.

"Wait! don't buy Accelerator X for Christmas, wait and by from us at Elbox."

If this arrives in February, then I will be very impressed.

It looks like a really solid product. That 16.6MB/s HD transfer speed in particular would be amazing!

It will also be cheaper than getting the "Adapter 500" with an ACA accelerator board, and according to the Elbox website it will also be internal, whereas the Adapter 500 sort of grows out of the Amiga with all the circuitry exposed, which can't be particularly safe for it.

You're gonna reach the 16,6MB/s IDE-speed like the 133,3MB/s USB-speed on the Mediator-Boards........

That's the absolute maximum what is technicly possible. Marketing. In the real world that's nonsense.

and it will fit nicely inside A500, no half-baked mess like Aca500.

If anyone wants aca500 just for a1200 expansion option, it's no brainer that Elbox sounds like a better choice.

They claim that for the A1200/4000 FastATA and truth is you're lucky to get 6.6mb/sec

We will never reach the theoretical max of course, but with the A1200 IDE f.ex having a theoretical max of 3.5MB/s, 16.6MB/s max sounds promising for an A500 system.

I can get around 9,500,000 with the MKIV and my ACA1231/42. With a faster accelerator I've seen till 13,107,000:

But of course, I'm talking about an A1200, dunno A500 and this accelerator..

Delshay's doesn't count

You 9.5mb/sec is impressive though, I've squeezed about 8mb/sec out of my old MkII FastATA

But will it fit inside if you have an Indivision ECS installed though?
