BBS and Compact Flash

I'm running AmiExpress BBS on a real A1200 and one of the settings is a tooltype that points towards upload space for files. It's simply, 'DRIVEx=(dh0:/work:/system: etc)' - despite everything being tried in this tooltype, the BBS absolutely refuses to acknowledge that there are gigabytes of free space
available - the A1200 no longer has a 'real' HDD in it, just two 4gb Compact Flash cards - which have been fine up until this point. It won't accept 'work:' or 'dh0:' or the CF version (which I forget right now, something like 'udho:'). Any ideas please?

Anyone trying to upload gets the message, 'Not enough space for uploading.'

I'm only guessing here, but maybe the problem is caused by partitions >2GB.

Actually, that's a very good theory - I'll look into it today.

Yeah, it looks like this is the problem. I'll sort out new partitions in the next week and report back. Thanks!

Verified this on my BBS as well. What I do is leave dir 2 as the upload dir on my small partition and dir 1 (which as you know is download only) can be on a partition larger than 2 gigs. You can even make a copy script in your logoff that does this for you. I don't bother making sure the files lists match what is in each directory. It really doesn't matter these days since very little is being uploaded.
