Vampire 2 3D printed mounts

I've found this: https://www.ebay.it/itm/Amiga-600-Va...UAAOSwGltaqSIN

There are multiple vendors for the same so I reckon the 3D project is somehow of public domain. Has anyone tried? Recently I am having issues with my Vampire 2 losing contact with the mb and I need a solution to keep it tighten.

My connection was causing me issues, so I removed the socket and put a new one on. Used the same socket as used on the Furia card. Now I can actually lift my whole Amiga by the Vampire alone (without even having any mounting screws or mounts). If you ever used a Furia then you will know how well that socket fits.

No more stability issues neither. Solved the heat issues I was having too by designing a 3D printable fan vent to blow air over and under the card.

The mounting bracket you mentioned though is available on Thingiverse. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2012783

Much cheaper to get printed elsewhere than eBay if you can. I have a printer here and that probably uses about £0.20 of filament. My issue with it is that it blocks much of the gap around the card which isn't ideal in a machine with not much airflow.

If interested in my cooking solution and my other designs.... https://www.thingiverse.com/Lemaru/designs

Goes to show that the socket is not ideal for the situation. The socket is not designed to work this way which is alot of the issue.

Check your other thread as more advice has been given there, particularly in regard to sanding the socket down as per the advise given in the troubleshooting page on the official Apollo Team wiki page.
