Playstation Joypads on the amiga
A few months ago I found a website that explains that you can use a Playstation joypad on the amiga. I now can`t find that website but does anyone know where i can find a website with that info. Thanx

A UK company called Blittersoft sells a PSX controller adaptor for the Amiga. Check it out at:
http://www.blittersoft.com/cgi-bin/l...35102413975.37 Alternatively, if you feel like making your own, check out this file on Aminet: http://de.aminet.net/aminetbin/find?appe_v32 OR go to the software author's homepage: http://personal4.iddeo.es/ackman Aminet has a few files on how you can read PSX memory cards on the Amiga too. |

I know some years ago that a few UK companies (Golden Image? Wizard Developments? Datel?) sold adaptors to use PC analog joysticks. You would be lucky to find them in stock at Amiga dealers now. IIRC the only commercial games that had analog joystick support were flight simulators (perhaps Flight Simulator 2 and Jet). Ultimately there are very few Amiga games that make use of PC analog joysticks, and I'm not sure that any support modern PC joypads (or the joysticks if they have changed any).
In any case, there are plenty of DIY hacks on Aminet for building PC joystick adaptors if you're interested (see http://de.aminet.net/aminetbin/find?analog+joystick). |
