You are right but now after modify s-s „Now edit your startup-sequence (ed s:startup-sequence) to add Run >NIL: <NIL: C:InitPPC at any point after”

System Boot bo after few seconds Workbench freeze

Put the initppc right before adddatatypes in startup-sequence. Usually what you're describing is either the datatypes loading and crashing or something WBStartup, either Amidock or DefIcons. If you want to make sure it's not in WBStartup make a WBstartup/Dis folder and put everything in WBStartup in there, or move them out of WBStartup altogether.

Other things to be wary of are asyncio.library in libs: there are many versions some with PPC support, some that are 68k only.

You must use the newer sonnet library:

New version 17.11 on Aminet soon. Fixes some stuff with K1. K1/M1 try to use the VGA memory of a secondary Radeon card. (next to a Voodoo as primary). RadeonMemOS = yes, RadeonMem = 0.

Tests showed it to be veeeeeeeery slow.

Another update to github. Mostly for Radeon users. K1/M1 users get an extra 512kb to spend, yay.

The sonnet for sale on Amibay is the same one I sold back in August. The guy has had it up on eBay for over for a month for $775. He now wants $680 which is still considerably more than I sold it to him for. Draw your own conclusions but I would call that profiteering.

Sonnet 7200 PCI programming

Hi

there is an very interesting Open Source project about the Prometheus PCI expansion there on a1k forum.

https://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68433

Mr. Boehmer, the author, mentions Elbox and the SharkPPC in the license disclaimer. Could anyone explain the context?

Is the Sonnet/ equivalent card supposed to run with the Prometheus PCI expansion?

Basically the rule is if you're working with Elbox, he wants one and a SharkPPC. If you're doing it on your own he wants one of the Prometheus boards you produce, they also have to be open source. That's pretty much it.

The Sonnetlib does not currently work with the Prometheus boards (that I've heard of) but with some work maybe they could be supported.

The Prometheus boards look to be not too bad to build your own, prices for the components appear to be less than $100.

Which is why I asked for this: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=95425

At any rate, seems like a good thing to do on general principles, maybe some of the longstanding Mediator bugs can be fixed, or just for the laughs.

@Marpla you shouldn't have that P5Init with an Apollo in your MMU-Configuration unless you're using a CSPPC.
