When does the Amiga X5000 come out? Last I heard it was suppose to be Sept 2015.

That's a lot of money for a system based on a cpu from 2012. Think I will stick with my 040 and considerably faster and better supported PC.

I swear this thread was started just to get a reaction.
This is mainly a classic forum, so I can only assume the original post is pointless. |

lol, now that is funny.
Watch out for the more popular hardware Amiga €1200. Can we scrap this thread now, as it was posted for no reason other than to stir. Funny how the same user hasn't posted the same thing on any of the Next Amiga related sites. Last edited by FOL; 01 October 2015 at 21:18. |

I started the thread because I'm seeking information when the X5000 will be out. I had heard it would be in September. As an Amiga fan I don't currently have an OS 4.1 machine so an X5000 would be my way to get back into it.

When it comes to money, both "NG" and "classic" has a tendency to "waste" your money, if you compare it to off the shelf Wintel hardware.
For the most part, Ive always thought we dabbled with all kinds of Amigas for the fun/intrest of it, regardless of the "sanity" of it. Lately Ive wasted 2-300 euros on parts for my A1200, not to mention the long hours messing about getting to know WorkBench again. Most people I know in reallife would think I was completely bonkers if they knew. Last edited by Overflow; 01 October 2015 at 20:42. |

I am sure your right, I have a 5 year old HP worksation that was about $7000 new, if I had not upgraded the hard drives and video cards recently it would only be worth about $600 or so now. I don't see too many people saying they want an old PC either, I don't get nostalgic and miss my first 386 PC. |
