Putty Squad not working

I just tried this game on my A1200 (with ACA card) and I get a multi coloured-screen. I tried writing it to floppies two times and got the same result. Any ideas? Thanks.

Update: I tried without the accelerator card and got the same result O_O

Well the drive is reading pretty much any game I throw at it, except this one... Doh.

I tried the ADFs in Winuae, worked fine.

Do you have another Amiga to write the disks from?

Don't really understand why you want to play from FDD when yo have an accelerator and HDD though.

Trying to figure out what the problem with the floppies is.

My advice, spend more time enjoying your Amiga than worrying about this Floppy problem.

Play some games from the HDD, have some fun and forget about floppy media. It was cr@p 20 years ago and it's not getting any better now

Save up and get a HXC, I use the slim version myself (fits the Amiga without modding the case)

I replaced my A1200's FDD with a SCSI card reader driven by my Blizzard SCSI Kit. best thing I ever done!

@Nostromo

I feel your pain though, these little faults eat away at you and it's very frustrating not to be able to find the cause.

If you want me to write you a set of Putty Squad Floppy's and post them I'd be happy to and maybe you can see if they work on your drive.

It doesn't work as a floppy drive, I replaced the floppy drive with it as I don't use Floppy Media on my A1200 anymore. It allows me to use SD/CF and other Media instead, accessible from the side without opening my Amiga. I don't think you can hot swap though!

I have a reliable floppy drive in my A4000 if I feel like reading/writing a Floppy

Ahh, thanks for the info.

I was thinking maybe I could use one with my CDTV to add a FD and PCMCIA slot. I'll stick with the HXC.
