Feature request: iCade support

Hi Toni,

Is there any chance you might consider implementing support for the iCade range of controllers in WinUAE? They are designed for the iPad and connect by bluetooth as a bluetooth keyboard.

As Apple do not permit access to 'key up' instructions, the iCade sends one character when a switch is activated and another character when the switch is released. Because of that support can not be added by simple keymapping, it has to be coded into the application. Details on the way keys are mapped are available in the following document:

Maybe one day someone will write a HID driver for this thing that automatically translates its behaviour into that of a normal keyboard. In meantime, any chance of support for this very nice controller?

I am not going to directly support this kind of weirdness but new event-specific Input panel options that can be used to invert the event (press becomes release and vice versa) may be possible.

That would be great Toni. I will keep my eye on the development threads, and if you choose to implement it in any of the future betas I will be right on it to test it with the iCade.
