Well, I have it running right now and I'm rotating the 3 schedules it specifies on a positional basis. First match I just played using the default schdules it gives you, now using the first schedule.

By letters I mean "fan mail". What are the effects of answering yes/no to people wanting to meet players etc?

I don't really know to be honest... I always answered "yes". I always assumed that if you do answer yes to their requests you'll be more popular with them and maybe they'll be more patient with you if things go pear-shaped. I could be wrong though.

Oh blimey, now I'm struggling... if I remember rightly I always went for 4-3-3 I think, I do remember really having trouble with 4-4-2 for some reason. Not sure about the other formations as 4-3-3 worked for me so I stuck with it.

What sort of results are you getting, you must be getting beaten every game with those sorts of ratings I guess?

Hmm, I'm tempted to take another look at this game myself now... what's your line-up?

My lineup is the default set of players you get at the start of the game.

I haven't been able to get a decent new player.

But which players are you playing? What's your starting eleven and what formation are you playing them in?

Well I had a couple of games earlier (strictly following AP's training schedule) and the first game my players generally got 4s and 5s, though a couple got 6 and a couple got 3 too, and narrowly lost 2-1. The second match I got a 1-1 draw but all but two of my players scored 3 (the others got 4).

I take it your players' ratings drop off that alarmingly too?

It does appear AP's advice isn't that great... it might be an idea to change it a bit. Perhaps two days a week do physical work and the other day do ball work, and the next week do two days' ball work and the other day do physical, etc. And make sure the training is reasonably varied.

It's hard to get decent results with the default squad anyway but hopefully you'll start getting some higher player ratings at least. Try it for the whole season and see what happens.

Well at least you are getting somewhere... as I said I'm very rusty with this game so I can't really remember what the best training and stuff is. I guess if you can, you should try and bring a couple of players in (maybe some cheap ones from higher division clubs who don't play very often perhaps) so you can at least have some better players to work with.

That aside what sort of results did you get, I take it you didn't win many games?

all about your training not about your formation.

if i remember correctly

Goalkeepers

Skipping
Crossing
Gym Circuit
Set Pieces
Resting

Defenders

Skipping
Sprinting
GymCircuit
Marking
Resting

Midfielders
Skipping
Sprinting
Gym Circuit
Dribbling
Resting

Attackers
Skipping
Sprinting
Gym Circuit
Shooting
Resting

every week change the training. by changing Gym Circuit to Aerobics, so for example you will run the first week with above then your 2 week should be run as above but with aerobics instead of gym circuit the 3 week you should change aerobics back to gym circuit and so on hope you get what i mean. anyway this not the best training but works i still trying to figure out how th get the players enthusiaum from X to O without giving them a pay rise its got something to do with training havent put my finger on it yet thou, how and has anyone figure out how to phone the FA and apply for the national team coach i had the number in my notebook but wouldnt let me phone it
