UK Hardcore (metal/punk) appreciation thread

That is utter shite Hewitson, I lasted aprox 5 seconds, I think I would rather have Celine Dion caterwhauling in my ear than listen to that rigmarole, and I detest her singing with a passion. I honestly have never understood the appeal of that sort of crap (I cant bring myself to call it music). I laugh at the fact they call that poxy shit 'Hardcore'. It's about as hard as a ladies lace handkerchief! Real 'Hardcore' is the music that evolved from the 70's punk sound.

Now, Jimmies tune I could listen to while I'm doing the housework or something, but I would be more likely to throw on some Zepplin or Rainbow.

So here is some real UK Hardcore!

UK Hardcore also refers to genre of mid 80's metal / UK punk bands like Seige, Amebix Discharge which then went on to spawn other more successful UKHC bands like Stampin Ground, Freebase and Knuckledust. The scene is still going strong today with bands like Brutality Will Prevail and Cold Hard Truth.

Its been around a lot longer than the dance version.

Good point! Never understood why that term was 'exclusive' to the rave/dance crowd!
