That art looks really nice!

I always get frustrated trying to make stuff like this for games I work on so I'm always pretty impressed when people make this kinda stuff. 3 days still seems quick to me haha.

I noticed you have a palette already prepared before you started, which is surprising to me. It is some your favorite, or often used stored palette, that you just use often? I, when draw something, start with DPaint default palette and then customize it during the work.

Also interesting for me you use vector lines (key 'V') for drawing, I use to use free draw (key 'D') for the same purpose, i tend to compose the picture pixel by pixel.

Everyone does it their way ... You have to keep in mind that nobody taught me to draw on a computer, I saw that a friend had a drawing program on the spectrum and was drawing flags, I recorded it and I put to draw my stuff ... nobody told me to do it like this or use this other tool that will be better and faster ... the same happened to deluxe paint, I did not have the videos to learn, I just drew and looked so that it looks good ... I suppose there are many tools in deluxe paint that I do not use ... it is not that I worry that I can use it beyond what I always use, a few months ago I remembered that you could modify a brush and give it a perspective , that if I had to look at it in the deluxe paint video.
Regarding the palette many people ask me why I start with a palette already set ... the truth is that I set it before, I'm looking at the queues I need. Before I used the default palette of deluxe paint and many people told me why I used that palette that would personalize it ...
The truth is that I spend a good time deciding colors, so I do not record it on video, because it is more boring than watching me draw a picture in 4 hours, haha
But sometimes I spend a great time to choose colors and then change them all, or not, or change 3 colors, or change 2 ...
I also spend a lot of time documenting for a drawing and I do some bocentos in pencil, many ask me to show them and sometimes I publish them ...

I continue with the tiles tests for the third level

I just adore anyone, who is able to set the correct palette before he starts drawing.

I wonder if the game will use multiple weapons.

Several have told me that it would be good if I had several weapons, but that would complicate the size of the floppy disk a lot. Although I do not rule it out.

Yes, I could do it for hard drive.
Or for cdrom
even do it for pc, in the past I made some game for pc. The fact is that I did not have fun ... I like to make games for Amiga, put them on a disk, with their box and their manual to have them on my shelf, haha:RE
I'll be weird, but it's what I like ... Although when I play a few more games, I'll do a CD compilation and try to have an executable menu ...

Reading through this thread with interest.

I think we ALL wanted to design and make games when we were Amiga kids.

And then some of us (me) got stuck just playing games.

I only played with very limited tools like 3D Construction kit, and Shoot-em-up construction kit, but still fun.

You say in your first post you are using a games editor?

What editor are you using?

On February 2 I will be at the Amigus Labs to give a talk about the design of video games. As an example I will take the game of Cuba 1898.
