For lovers of WHDLoad games in the new version of AROS One x86 in addition to the integration of various emulators FPSE, MAME, DOSBox, ScummVM, ZSNes there will also be JanusUAE and WHD MENU a GUI that allows you to start with a click the WHDLoad games from the Worbench on AROS x86.

Of course every user will have to integrate in the system the KickStarts and the ROMs needed for the WHDLoad, WHD MENU by default includes the KickStart of AROS 68k but I recommend using the KickStarts of Amiga OS for greater compatibility with the games. After dozens of tests, the update of AROS One x86 has been completed. Moving the programs from System to Extras has brought a lot of work to know I was leaving all that was, practically I had to reassociate Dopus4, Workbench, AmiStart, Zune to the new paths and not only, in addition to updating and adding many other software, tomorrow after the last test the distribution.

Here is a preview of the Video Installation of AROS One x86, I recommend everyone to watch it to show how cute it can be aesthetically as well as efficiently AROS x86.
During the installation from ISO you can use the Live system as if it were an already installed system, you can use it even during the installation phase, look to believe.

AROS One x86 v1.2: New AROS x86 ABIv0 Distro based on the latest Nightly Builds which includes a "Drawer" Icons set created by me and configured with an AfA One style Wanderer (Workbench).

AROS One 1.2 includes all the latest software and updated to the latest versions, all the most common files have been associated with the most convenient tool on both Workbench and Dopus4.

At the first boot OWB will take some time to download and install the necessary fonts, the next starts will be very fast, the network has been preconfigured for a Virtual Machine, who will use a real PC will have to configure their network card.

Updated the archive of AROS One x86 v1.2, now you can download the correct version where I placed some file associations that aimed at the hard disk, now everything works from the DVD Live, also made some videos showing the file associations on Dopus4 and Workbench.

I want to give it a try. Do you have a recommended settings for VirtualBox?
I can't seem to get past the initial gfx mode selection menu.

unfortunately i cant advise on virtual box. ive only been running aros x86/x64 hosted on linux or in vmware. however, however polished he distribution is, i fear that x86 abi v0 is pretty outdated in comparison with abi v1 by now. unfortunatelly the latter is still not considered stable. maybe by the end of the year.

I understand that abi v0 is outdated. I just wanted to play with this distro a bit.

I always found AROS interesting on the PC, where it has enough processing power to make it an interesting choice.

The link for v1.2 Download doesn't seem to be available any more and you haven't posted the link for v 1.3.

Where do we get it from, please?

Add in the news "AROS One x86 HardFile VirtualBox + Config" and "Tutorial Video: AROS One Installation VirtualBox"

During the installation on VirtualBox strangely enough the volume "P" is requested this problem is caused by the DigiClock Application

With VirtualBox audio doesn't work on AROS, with VMWare no problem Audio works at 16Bit

Great. I have it installed now but cannot get my network drivers working. AROS is set to pcnet32. Do we know which virtual driver will allow VMWare NAT pass through to the PC?

I was thinking if it was possible to run AROS over VMWare on MacOS? That would be interesting as well.

With WMWare the network works great, you have to put the check mark up:

- Bridget: Connected directly to the physical network
- replicate physical network connection state

If it does not work, on Windows disable/enable Virtual Network Card in Device Manager

Which version of VMWare Player are you using?

Thank you again. Otherwise, the performance is amazing. It feels way faster than AmigaOS under WinUAE.

with Win7 32Bit use VMWarer Player 6.04, with Win7 64Bit use VMWarer Player 12.5.4

The first time you run OWB, you have to wait a while because the system has to download and install the fonts.
if you set the values as in my screenshot you will see which network will work
