I agree with you, I sometimes myself prefer using the keyboard to the joystick, even when the game is joystick only!

And to steer the conversation back on-topic, preferred control method is a personal thing. So when this ports guy preaches all the time from his lofty YT heights about the control method with which one should play, I do what I usually do with these evangelists; I change the channel.
