When I came down to locale.library I got a breakthrough! With locale.library from the original WB3.1-disk, IBrowse lights up like a christmastree.

The version on the WB-disk is v40.4 and works fine with 2.5.3.
The version that crashes is v38.27 (could it be the original 3.0-version?)

Thanks a lot guys for helping me out! This was a hard one!
I said it was the library, a classic Amiga problem when mixing libraries, maybe from some old software installed.
Yes, locale.library v38.27 belongs to WB 3.0

Yes, so I would still call this a bug in IBrowse. I did mess with the library initialisation for IBrowse 2.5, "improving" and optimising it to work better for OS3 and OS4, but I probably should have left it be . As a result, 2.5 requests Locale v39 minimum, hence failed to open on your system, whereas 2.4 requested Locale v38 minimum. However, it is a mistake that the failure to open locale.library goes unhandled (that part is a historic bug from 2.0, or earlier, which would ordinarily never fail) and also that it should allow Locale v38 anyway. Both issues will be resolved for 2.5.4.

This is similar to 2.5 requesting keymap.library v39, whereas WB3.0 only has v37, which got fixed in 2.5.1.

All right!
It would be interesting to find out if the problems attila06 have described on the previous page is related to the same thing. In his case, the problem could potentionally be one of the other libs IBrowse tries to request and continues to run past the version-check.

My guess is that attila06's crash concerns locale.library too. Locale is a special case as it is not opened with all the other OS libs, which do exit gracefully without a crash on failure. In hindsight, I should have spotted the locale.library failure in your SnoopDos screenshot!

For 2.5.1, I did verify all the versions of OS libs in Kickstart 3.0, to make sure no others got missed, but locale.library is disk based - doh!

Great site! Can you actually run WHDLoad or something like that on it? Seems like a virtual machine environment through browser?

I can't tell you, you'd have to ask its author "Michael Rupp"

In the various OS in the SYSTEM:TAWS folder there are Info about the application

Hello all,

You are right, the problem for me is the locale.library version too as Firestone.
Put the locale version V40.4 and it works fine.
Thanks to all.

I have tweaked IBrowse and I thought and been told java-script is way to slow for my 030, but it is not.
Made a video about it.

Edit: I made a new video.

Nice. Have you tried more than two concurrent network transfers (as seen down in the right corner)?

"Duga" made me aware of the network transfers setting.
I have now changed that and made a new video look better with
low fps setting on the video camera. 56Hz and CRT are hard to catch

Great to hear that It is a little expensive but as we are quite few Amiga users today it make sense.
I will make more videos to try to promote this software.

Here is how to see your Youtube videos with iBrowser and NetSurf on Amiga OS3, all this is possible thanks to the site "Genyt" that allows you to download and view in different modes the Video or only its Audio.

I attachan exhaustive video made today that shows how to use iBrowser to view youtube videos through Genyt, also on Netsurf the operation works but only on some older versions and with some problem because of the lack of the "serch" tab of Genyt.

Of course to do this you must have an expanded Amiga and the configuration of a player that supports the video formats available on "Genyt".
