Yes, so I would still call this a bug in IBrowse. I did mess with the library initialisation for IBrowse 2.5, "improving" and optimising it to work better for OS3 and OS4, but I probably should have left it be . As a result, 2.5 requests Locale v39 minimum, hence failed to open on your system, whereas 2.4 requested Locale v38 minimum. However, it is a mistake that the failure to open locale.library goes unhandled (that part is a historic bug from 2.0, or earlier, which would ordinarily never fail) and also that it should allow Locale v38 anyway. Both issues will be resolved for 2.5.4.
This is similar to 2.5 requesting keymap.library v39, whereas WB3.0 only has v37, which got fixed in 2.5.1. |

All right!
It would be interesting to find out if the problems attila06 have described on the previous page is related to the same thing. In his case, the problem could potentionally be one of the other libs IBrowse tries to request and continues to run past the version-check. |

For 2.5.1, I did verify all the versions of OS libs in Kickstart 3.0, to make sure no others got missed, but locale.library is disk based - doh! |

Nice, if you try to access TAWS with iBrowser or NetSurf you will receive a nice GURU "Internal Browser"

Hello all,
You are right, the problem for me is the locale.library version too as Firestone. Put the locale version V40.4 and it works fine. Thanks to all. |

I have tweaked IBrowse and I thought and been told java-script is way to slow for my 030, but it is not.
Made a video about it. Edit: I made a new video. Last edited by nikosidis; 02 September 2020 at 11:02. |

"Duga" made me aware of the network transfers setting.
I have now changed that and made a new video look better with low fps setting on the video camera. 56Hz and CRT are hard to catch https://youtu.be/btR0krbQ_5Q Last edited by nikosidis; 02 September 2020 at 11:55. |

Here is how to see your Youtube videos with iBrowser and NetSurf on Amiga OS3, all this is possible thanks to the site "Genyt" that allows you to download and view in different modes the Video or only its Audio.
I attachan exhaustive video made today that shows how to use iBrowser to view youtube videos through Genyt, also on Netsurf the operation works but only on some older versions and with some problem because of the lack of the "serch" tab of Genyt. Of course to do this you must have an expanded Amiga and the configuration of a player that supports the video formats available on "Genyt". [ Show youtube player ] |
