Nigel Mansell's World Championship AGA code wheel question!

I have 3 copies of this game, all loose disks, for the A1200 as printed on the black label of the disk!

2 versions have no code wheel protection when loading yet one copy does? The 2 loose disks of this game that do not have code wheel protection have the same CRC32 as IPF #0138 when both are converted to ADF, EB938F20, so they are legit releases and not cracked

So, which release of Nigel Mansells World Championship had code wheel protection as the official IPF is listed as 'Retail' (no code wheel) yet HOL shows a code wheel in the Miscshot for the AGA version and WHDLoad just says password protection removed? To add to the confusion, some AGA copies on ebay show the code wheel and some just show the disks and manual but no code wheel?

My version came in the big black box, with manual, poster, 2x disks with black labels and codewheel.

I have an A500 boxed version with code wheel, poster, postcard, manual and other material but not A1200. Just wondering why there is an A1200 version that has no code wheel yet another version does?

I'd be surprised if the A1200 pack in version came with a code wheel. (Race n Chase pack)

I think you are correct!

Just looked at some images via a web search and in the few pics of the Race 'n' Chase pack (or Fast 'n' Furious as it was also known) none show a code wheel. So probably where those copies on ebay that only show the disks and manual are from too
