That was fast ED. I've only just got out of bed and switched my Amiga on.

I discovered to fix the brightness issues this game has you can set CUSTOM1=1 in the WHDload version.

Now I will go an make a quick score.

Died on the second level boss.

There's plenty of places where the enemies spawn infinitely. Not a very suitable competition game but it'll do.

@John
It's after 8pm here
Yeh I noticed a spot in the tunnels with infinite enemies.. I don't think there's any way to show how far your game progressed either.
I died shortly after beating some large circular blades at the top of an elevator.

@ john, thanks for updating your post with the score clearly written, it makes it so much easier for us mods. Thanks for the Custom=1 tip. I have yet to switch my mind over to Amiga and its almost 3pm.

@ ED - OCP time works 24hours a day right? As you can see from mailmans shot, it is possible to show where you died. I like to post the general high score table at intervals but mainly I post end of game shots.

edit 2: I cant get the 2nd weapon to activate...?

ED-209s never sleep.

@LS. Try the shift keys for the backpack weapon.

ED-209's don't sleep true! At least the original revisions didn't.. sleep algorithm was introduced into later models but it made them less efficient IMO

@LS
You have to buy a secondary weapon first
I'll take screenshots like that in future

Thanks for Left Shift, I must have tried all the other keys. I got the homing missiles today but never reached the keyboard to activate them.

No way to quit back to main menu either?

I can't find a way to do that either. I commit suicide if I mess up too bad early doors.

For now I've had to abandon using the secondary weapon at all, since I play on my Amiga console style, the keyboard is nowhere near me. I've tried plugging in an MD pad and all combinations CUSTOM1=x in the slave but that second button refuses to do anything.

Made it past the 3rd shop this time.

@John
2nd button works ok for me with latest slave (v1.6), no tooltypes need to be set.

I don't think there's a way to quit back to menu, unless it's really obscure.

I didnt know about v1.6, I was using V1.4 up until this weekend. Will have to check that out.

Hands up, who still rides the jeep at the beginning?, and who runs behind the jeep firing to collect 2.6k free points? Its so obvious I had to mention it.
