Best N64 emulator?

I'm not quite sure who's the current top dog when it comes to decent N64 emulation. And is it highly recommended I get myself an adaptor to plug my N64 pad in, so I can utilise the proper controls for all games which rely heavily on the analog stick?

It's been a while since I last used N64 emulation, but I found Korn is quite handy as well. And my PS2 gamepad plays the games quite well though it's not N64 styled. If you've got some other gamepad with analog you might try those before getting a converter

i think N 64 is the only video gsame system that no one gives a crap enough about to say : "Nothing beats the real thing!"
