(WTB) A600 memory expansion

Hi all,

I'm after the internal CHIP RAM expansion for an A600. I'm also interested in a FAST RAM expansion if you have any.

Seems A1200's are too rare to find in Australia, so I've decided to beef up my A600 so I can get in some WHDLoad games playing goodness.

Please let me know what you've got and how much you want for it.

If you buy one, make sure it's NOT the one that takes SIMMS Marpet's M604A It's too heavy for the A600 slot and regularly comes loose.

I've offered a 1meg memory expansion (brand new) for $15, but no idea what brand/model it is as yet.

I'm thinking with 2Megs onboard RAM in the A600 that I should be able to play the majority (non-AGA of course) of WHDLoad games that I want to play. I just need a 2.5inch HDD for the A600 to load them all onto.

Anyone have any idea what the max HDD size the A600 supports please? ie: most of them seem to be only 40MB, can I put in a 1Gig or so drive still using KS/WB 2.05?

I think you also need a 68010 and upwards to use the exit function of whdload...

You can use any size drive with an Amiga, with the right software.

Upto 4 gig works fine with any software.

Some WHDload slaves run slow (Turrican 3) with only a 68000.
