ICD adIDE 2 Capabilities
Does anyone know the capabilities of the ICD adIDE 2?
Wondering what sort and size of hard drives it can handle? e.g. Can it handle drives over a 1 gig, 4 gig etc etc e.g. Can it use any old modern IDE drive (like an ATA 133) e.g. Can it handle a CD-ROM drive? Hope someone can help |

Re: ICD adIDE 2 Capabilities
I believe the max harddrive size is 2.1gig. This is a limitation of the device.driver within the cards rom.
Ata133 is a new standard which probably wont be compatable, but most of the older (ata33 etc) standard IDE drives should be ok No idea if a cd-rom can be chained with a harddrive, but I see no reason why it should fail, as long as your using KS2.04 with WB2.1 Trying a cdfilesystem with KS1.3 would be painfull in the least Az |

Thanks Azryl,
Looks like I may be better off trying to put a Guru-ROM in my A590 and sticking with that. But if anyone knows a way around the drive size / type limitations of the adIDE 2 I would appreciate any info. Any info on A590s and the Guru-ROM would go astray either |
