Flashfloppy normal mode
Hello,
yesterday I received my goex drive with flashfloppy. According to the wiki page it is not necessary to use a config file in order to use it via normal mode. Unfortunately I am not able to select/see any file, even when the name does not match any exemption mentioned in the wiki Quote:
How did you realize, organize the files ? Does anyone have an example for me ? BR Planetinifinity Last edited by Planetinfinity; 23 February 2021 at 14:49. |

I have a fat32 formatted usb stick, and just copy the files over.
There's not a lot of files on it at any given time, because FF/HxC are painful when managing larger amounts of files. |

Hello Jope,
did you use any folder or did you copy it into the root-folder ? Do you use a goex (maybe this is the reason) ? BR Marcus |

Some are in the root, some are in directories.
The goex runs the exact same firmware. |

It's been a while, but I remember that I have eventually ended up using the file selector in HxC compatibility mode and put games in GAME directory. That's because I have a Gotek with simple display (just numbers).
It should work in the Native mode too though. There are few gotchas which might cause problems. Make sure this is sorted first: -cable must be inserted properly (there was something about inverting it sometimes) -jumpers need to be set correctly -some USB sticks might not work, but I suppose any decent new FAT32 one should be ok Do you have an LCD/Oled or a simple one? What messages is it displaying? |

I use a small Oled display.
I got it working. It seems to be that the Nature Mode is getting confused when there are folder even when this folders are empty. After formating the sdcard I was able to access all files. Thank you very much for all the hints. |

One additional question.
Did someone manage to get turrican2.adf from Factor5 website running. http://www.factor5.de/downloads.shtml My flashfloppy in normal mode is able to see all files but not the Turrican 2 file. |

Quote:
Extended .adf files are not supported. However, convert that to a HFE v3 using the HxC software, and it might work. (Converting .ipf, .scp, .raw etc usually works) |
