Is Hawes' WShell still available?
I would like to find WShell.
I have looked around the web, and I can only find old reviews of it, no news if Hawes is still selling it either. Does anyone have any more info on it? |

I have a WShell 2.0 spiral bound manual. It has "Wishful Thinking Development Corp." on the cover, and inside it is titled "The Beachcomber's Guide to the WShell, Version 2.0" by William S Hawes, 1988, 1991.
I do not have a disk or image for WShell though. It lists the Wishful Thinking Development Corp. phone number as 508 568 8695, but it might be wishful thinking to expect that to still work... |

Wow. Thanks Hit!
I halfway expected to find it was still available in some form and have to buy it. Poohbear: I actually tried calling that phone number. It wasn't in service. I think that those are all of the versions that were ever available. I'll look for an old beachcomber's guide (I think that was the name of the manual). I am not good with a scanner, but if I find them, I'll try to make a pdf from the dox. I don't even remember clearly which version of wsh went with which version of amigados. I might find this info from the old reviews. I think it was: 1.05 -- dos 1.2 1.20 -- dos 1.3 2.00 -- dos 2.0 and above. Thanks again for this! |

During a clean up this week, I found that I do have an original disk for WShell 2.0 after all. If the DMS does not work (and I am not likely to have time to test it in the near future), let me know and I will look into imaging the disk (that requires setting up a PC with two floppy drives to use disk2fdi).

Hey! Thanks Poohbear!
Good thing you did this, since I went lookin', and there were no manuals to be bought. We going to go on a library hunt this week! You have saved me a lot of trouble, although I regret that I have nothing to contribute. I think it is really cool that you and Hit responded with generosity to some new guy with two-posts to his name. |

You won't find it there yet, but if you wait a short while I'll upload it again for you. |
