i like [!] flag!

the absence of [a] flag does not guarantee that your set is good because the choice between multiple versions does not mean that you have a good one. The flag [!] to compare the other versions and to rank them.

Even if it is not vital, it avoids the relegation of an original:

...indeed, thats why i dont add [!] flag to exact copies of Originals, althought it is probably the best dump then.
In the past [!] was used also for cracks, which seems to be 100% playable, for example "Wrath of the Demon", so present day it would be confusing.
[!] flag needs a closer description then or, as you wrote, needs to be updated.

And however ...

CDs ripped by TOSEC do not contain sub-channels (which contain protections) and yet they are marked [!] even though it is not 100% like the original!

This lack may be a flag to distinguish the original copy protected against the original unprotected.

Or add a flag type [SPS 1254] or [$] ^^

Well this one is the version that is bundled with the Xmas 1200 Pack..
It doesn`t work on normal amiga`s at all... So sorry to normal amiga
owners who wants a smaller version, From what i understand they have
nuked the introduction and end-sequence to lower the disks...

I think soon they will bring the normal release version out of Syndicate
AGA with all introductions and stuff. I guess Commodore wanted to save
some money, so they put it out on as small amount of disks as pos.

CSL / Backlash / WT / IPF
but for other alternate disk 3 are the same version of CSL

Its really hard to proof, if they changed anything.
As you can read in "BLH" info file, "CSL" forgot to remove Password in file genesia on disk 3.

The datestamp of exe from "CSL" version is earlier, so it is possible, that it is not the final sales(IPF).
So no real proof, i let it as it is.
