My Amiga moments of 2018...what a year.
Well firstly I guess, it's the year I unexpectedly had the Amiga passion re-ignited after nearly 30 years.
Randomly found myself looking at old Spectrum and Amiga youtube videos. Got hooked on Dan Wood, and Nostalgia Nerd as well as a couple of others, but mostly those two. Chatted with an old School mate who I used to play Amiga games with back in the day, and with his input, had a stab with emulation. I know not everyone is a fan of emulation, but I can't describe the punch in the face of nostalgia that hit when I fired up "Batman" for the first time and heard the intro music. But I guess the biggest moment of 2018 was finding, and buying, a ....not mint but VERY VERY VERY good condition, hardly used, all complete, Amiga 500 Batman Pack, boxed on ebay, and buying it. I've not even seen it yet but that's another story Here's to 2019. My return to the Amiga has only just begun. |

Guess my Amiga moment was seeing the demo of my game on a super huge screen in front of 1000 people on the Revision demo party, sitting next to and around all the oldschool Amiga demo sceners.
And then on the parking place outside there, the Amiga guys having a party there listening to shitty trance music and drinking A LOT while everybody else is so boring... It doesn't get any better... Also having a good time here at the EAB and on german A1K forum, seeing new games like Barbarian+, Worthy, Powerglove, Reshoot being developed. |

receiving a new sparkly white (and then some) amiga case from a1200.net and news of 3.1.4 updated os/roms.
now, with the new keycaps also just landing, I can finally update my tired looking amiga and hopefully the new os will fix a few of those bugs that prevented me from actually getting a bunch of games to load at all on my 3.0 .. looking at you SimCity 2000 and Napalm! if I could ever get the amiga to run wifi I would even strongly consider using it as my main computer again. down with m$ boo |
