overriding exec.library of rom 3.1.4 with the one of OS3.9

I need to test something and I would like to override the exec.library in my new 3.1.4 roms with the one in AMigaOS3.9 .

My idea was to do a romsplit ( what I did ) on the AMigaOS romupdate, there is a file called "exec***3000". SO my best guess that's exec.library for the A3000 that I need. I renamed that to exec.library, put it in libs and added this before setpatch in my startup-sequence:

C:loadmodule >NIL: LIBS:exec.library

That doesn't work so it probably isn't that simple as I think or at least I am overlooking something or it's just not possible.

Help ?

Try:

C:loadmodule >NIL: LIBS:exec.library DOWNGRADE

That worked ... I think. I have a warpengine with a 060 adapter so it gets stuck after rebooting with the old exec because it's not patched for such an adapter.

But someone's going to send me a patched exec.library tonight, to be continued.
