Did you find a "cheat" at the end?

Will you try to make some arena?

Yeah I will try at some point; unfortunately I'm working all today / tomorrow on a client project that's going live so won't happen this weekend

Welcome!
Well you can find adfs on eab server if you want to install the game manually. Consider its AGA game that requires 4mb fast ram. Or it would be easiest to use Damien's hdf but I can't seem to find it.

@DamianD
You didn't upload Burnout.hdf to your ftp folder?

Arenas are plain iff files. Backround is 7 planes 128 color 640x640 with RLE compression. Maybe they can be without compression, I'm not sure if I tried. The last color in palette will be used for font.

Mask files are 2 bit planes 4 color also 640x640.
First color in palette are gaps, wholes where you can fall through.
Second - solid ground
Third - bouncing areas
and fourth are instant kill areas.
I hope I didn't mix them..

Use software whatever you like. I used Photoshop, Xnview and DPaint.

I did upload an .LHA archive to the Zone! a while back.

It wasn't a .HDF though as I don't think I can upload due to having Workbench files...

Anyway; I will quickly create another .LHA file that contain the complete install directory & .info file so you just need to extract to your own .HDF:

... Original 4 arenas & 4 cars.
... Extra 8 arenas & 4 cars from Aminet (see this post: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=1087142&postcount=2).
... Extra 3 arenas made by Cobe.

Back shortly

Final version of Arenas now available on Aminet too

http://aminet.net/package/game/data/arenas

already 81 downloads, maybe there is still some love for this game
Probably majority is downloading for preservation but someone must be actually playing it

http://aminet.net/package/game/data/arena

...pretty cool also:

Look like I'm updated my .HDF and the "Burnout.lha" again tonight

Alrighty; I've completed updating my own .HDF and have also now updated the "Burnout.lha" file in order to take into account the "other" arena that somehow I missed previously...

So, this is what the new file in The Zone! now contains:

... Original 4 arenas & 4 cars; obviously made by "Vulcan".
... Extra 8 arenas & 4 cars; from Aminet and made by "Vulcan" (see this post: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=1087142&postcount=2).
... Extra 1 arena; from Aminet and made by "Giulio Toffoli".
... Extra 3 arenas; made by our very own "Cobe".

As per usual; all you need to do is extract this to your hard drive and everything is included! Enjoy
