Normally the keyboard should not be close to touching anything electrical but if you have some addons which might touch the keyboard, then I would put some insulation between. I have heard about some people frying their motherboards or something else because they didn't realize that the keyboard caused a short somewhere in their hevily expanded Amiga when it was all put together.

Yep, I found this after getting my replacement amiga mobo fitted. I taped a piece of thin plastic packaging to stop things touching the keyboard tray and frying themselves on it.
