Been working on my collection today.

Been reassembling my A4000.

It's modded for 64MB on the motherboard.
1MB Kickstart ROM with the Romy.
Fan headers on the board for front Fan and CPU Fan.
Elbox A4000Di PCI bus solely to use the Voodoo 3 Card, other than that it's a pointless purchase.
X-Surf100 and the Rapidroad USB card.
Ratte's Monitor switch.
WarpEngine with an 040-060 adaptor running at 90mhz (Can do short periods at 96mhz). Think I need new faster RAM as can only use 3 sticks of 32MB ram at this speed.
HDD is a IBM Ultrastar 10K 18.35GB SCSI drive.
DVD Rom is a Pioneer 305s

Next job is going to be my A2000.

I do really want to mediator my A4000 but its a distraction from all the awesome.

plasmab Not really sure if PCI is worth bothering with unless you want a Hi Res workbench or to play Quake at 22.3FPS even with the 060 running at 96mhz!

I don't think the other PCI cards are worth bothering with and the Warp3D drivers are rubbish.

Forgot to mention I am using a BenQ BL912 19" LED monitor as it will work on Native Amiga and Graphics card modes.

If I ever go blind I also have a Tri Sync 29" Broadcast Monitor sat next to it :P

Did a little bit on the A2000 just.
Running a PPS 2000/040 (Progressive Peripherals & Software) It runs an 040 at 28mhz and 32MB which is set to be 32bit in software. I am tempted to put my spare 040-060 adaptor on it and run at 58mhz, just not sure about the exec.library to boot the 060 up.
Also got a Kipper2k A508 board, just need connect it back up to Garry and Denise.
Also got a GVP SCSI card to go in.

plasmab If you need any of your designs testing in an A2000 just let me know.

There is a Retina for sale on facebook, it's £189 but he might give you a developer discount Let me know if you're interested.
You are probably aware of the currently available new Picasso 2 variants, MNT va2000 (z3) and Matze's card (z2).

Having just got PCI for my a4000 I find this an interesting opinion. WB with rtg is massively better than without, a <£10 NIC is a lot cheaper than an x-surf 100, quake at anything close to 22.3fps is much fast than just using aga, soundblaster at ~£6 makes mp3s sound great compared to Paula, plus there's the interesting PPC sonnet developments to get on board with.

Done a bit more on the A2000.

The Kipper2K 8MB and IDE Board had to come back out to fit the MegaChip I just got.

The second picture is copying WorkBench back over.

Last one is with BetterWB installed.
This was taken just before I setup the RAM on the PPS 040 as only 8MB is showing.

Just need to work on installing everything else.
Might look at getting another SCSI HDD though as will be faster than the CF Card that I am loosing.
