RESTART button

Hello Toni,

This has been an ongoing problem with WinUAE for a while now, only just reminded myself to report it.

If Action Replay III gets trashed by a program that prevents it from running, if you select to RESET WinUAE from the button, it won't reset, and if you select RESTART it still won't restart emulation properly.

You get a black screen, a brief flash of grey, and the Action Replay logo never comes up and the emulation never gets anyfurther.

During a click of RESTART, are there some variables not reset that allows Action Replay to boot properly? Is Action Replay rom not reloaded?

I invariably if Action Replay crashes with a fatal error, the only way to get back to using it again is to quit completely out of the emulation and restart from the icon.

I have exactly the same problem, and I resolve it in exactly the same way, Quit WinUAE completely. Although this works, you've consciously got to remember to quit out of WinUAE completely and not restart or reset the thing, as the problems Galahad mentioned will undoubtedly occur.

Same here. Even the 3-finger Amiga reboot doesn't always work after a crash. I've gotten into the habbit of hitting CTRL-F11 and then double clicking my short cut to restart.

Can confirm problems with internal emulator state here as well with a quit+restart as only fix. I can't remember what I did but it was not related to Action Replay or any other cartridge.

What if you clean the memory on reset?
Hold down alt with the reset keys.

I'll give that a go, obviously with my 'work' in WinUAE, it happens quite abit!
