Wolfenstein 3d
Was not sure exactly where to post this but thought id pop it on here. Ive read that the amiga unofficial version of Wolfenstein 3d requires a minimum A1200 to run but the Atari port runs on a normal ST. Anyone know the reason for this? was it just down to the programming? just curious really being technically the amiga was better.

Neither the Atari ST nor Amiga version were commercial games. They were homebrew ports from the x86 DOS source code.
The guy who converted the Atari ST version spent lots and lots of time doing hand optimisations. |

Yup, don't know why I missed that. Maybe because it wasn't mentioned on the Doom sites I was visiting? I haven't really searched for Wolfenstein stuff, but of course I know the Wolfenstein episodes for Doom. One really strange one is 'Pinodoom'. Maybe you should have a look Dizzy
