I repeat: the CORRECT AMIGA filename IS NOT pro.i_riska , it is pro.i*riska !!!!
transfer to your amiga the TC extracted data, and run the INTRO slave... then tell me what happens.... trust the keropi, I know what I am talking about... |

He's right Retro-Nerd, you can't unzip it and expect it to work. You won't have the correct filenames.

Why not just rename it once it's back on the Amiga?

ffs has a 32 chars filename limit... on my amiga (that I have no FS hacks whatsoever) the resulting file had a smaller name and no extension.

yes, use winRAR to batch extract all files, and then see on the error window the failing archives... then just extract them manually on the amiga... there is a good number of whd games that has this "failure" on the winpc... |

under a true FFS partition (hardfile) and without any hacks, you cannot have a file named: DragonsLair&EscapeFromSingesCastle_v1.2a_Fast_1360&0980.zip
it is just too lenghty for out-of-the-box FFS in 3.9 . |

fact is you cant have a mega long file name under ffs real or hardfile. unarcing to ram from a windows folder or such or maybe sfs hardfile to ram is no issue. but such long names can not be saved onto an ffs partition or hardfile. |

@keropi
You've got a copy of probably the best filesystem available for the Amiga (PFS) and you're sticking with FFS?! It's really easy to install a new filesystem and it shouldn't take long to move to PFS (if you've got some way to back up your current OS setup). There are so many reasons why FFS sucks big time and 32 characters is just one of them. |

The zip name is mega long, and NOT the preinstalled folder name. I have uncompressed Dragon's Lair under OS3.9 FFS with this folder name.

you still get it wrong my friend....
on my 1st post I said: " extra long filenames like: "DragonsLair&EscapeFromSingesCastle_v1.2a_Fast_1360&0980.zip " don't work on amigas without some replacement FileSystem! " I never said anything about extraction errors! and the extraction errors we discussed later, are to show you that you cannot extract all games OK in windows... anyway, no point in continuing that silly debate... |

Yep, our discussion is really silly.
But in this Dragon's Lair case you could safely use the TC. The data file names are short enough. Quote:
