Starwoids, Outpost, Blob Kombat & Xenomorphs Full Versions?
Hey there, here's my wants list:
Starwoids - Cool 'Oids' clone for the Amiga with a StarWars theme. I've seen the demo kicking about, but I know a full version exists because I used to have it Unfortunately it was dumped long ago with all my old Amiga disks Outpost - Solo Assault / The Final Battle - Not sure if the final game (The Final Battle) was released, but the demo (Solo Assault) was reviewed in The One (75) back in Dec 1994 - 84%! I played this, and it was ace Blob Kombat AGA - Again, I've seen the demo, but is there a full version out there? Xenomorphs (Culture) - I used to have a demo of this Amos game and wanted to know if the full version was ever leaked? It was kind of like a turn based(?) Alien Breed with a destructable environment. Sluggish (AMOS...!), but pretty cool Anyone out there got the full versions of these in their disk boxes? |

Apologies for digging up this OLD thread, but to set the record straight, Star Woids full version does not exist. I contacted the coder and he advised me that they never completed the game, and had to send back all registered players their money.
The other games, however, are still missing. |

Xenomorphs 2 has been found.
I've found a contact number for Blob Kombat's coder's old family home (it seems his parents still live there). Will give it a call when I can pluck up the courage(!) |

Hey!
No problem - CodyJarret messaged me after making that post, so I knew that he was already in touch. It will be great to finally see the final version of Blob Kombat - like many users here I was too young when it came out to be able to afford the full version (even though I played the demo all the time with friends). |

Slight delay in that I've been having disk drive problems. I was going to send cody a disk so he could transfer it to PC but they've all got bit rot sadly. Anyway I still have my A1200 so I've ordered a CF adapter to get the files onto my PC.
I was a little bit suprised/disapointed no one pirated the original (especially given the tongue in cheap piracy warning). Anyway I'll finally be able to put that right once this CF adapter turns up. Nice to see an active Amiga scene. Are there many people still producing new games for the Amiga? I've drifted away from the scene so I've not kept up to date. I'm still a developer and I have toyed with doing some dev for older platforms, (C64 and the original Gameboy) but sound and audio stuff rather than games. I do still do the odd indy game for PC but there is nothing in them that couldn't be done on an Amiga. It's all about the gameplay. D |

Maybe but it's not me. I read TIGSource but I've not posted there. It's just one of the names I use now and then. It's a reference to the lowest and dumbest class of society in Aldous Huxleys Brave New World. Epsilon Semi-Morons ^^
