"Search" function on EAB forum.

I don't understand how the "search" function, available in our EAB forum, works. It seems to have problem to detect words with the full stop "." symbol inside.
It's impossible to find word like "3.9" and "2.05", but it works with words like "37.350"... but how does it work?

i think that's because shorter words are not searched

I believe 4 characters and less are ignored by the search as Marco said.

Not true. Just try searching for 'dog' or something

then the full stop divides the quote in two short words: 2 letters words are not searched in fact

[edit] or maybe not:
"37.350" comes up with findings where all the "37.350" is highlighted, not just the "350"
while if you search for "37.35" there's no results, but the search function don't tell that there are short terms...

The current full text search engine minimal word limit is 3.
I may decrease is to 2 when I will upgrade our server to have better search result.
