as a last chance should help, also due the lenght of levels and the long loadings.

This .ADF has a level select option in the trainer: "Darkmere (1994)(Core)(M4)(Disk 1 of 4)[cr HLM][t +7 Backlash].adf"

Thanks, jotd and kremiso, for the WHDFixes and saves!

I am gathering courage to decide to restart level 2 from new WHDLoad.

This game has a ton of backtracking and slows down to a crawl even in my accelerated A500, when you carry a lot of items.

I have zoned the beta install, including a savedisk with start of levels 2 and 3.

Thanks for fixing this one jotd.

I'm playing it again with your recently released 2.0 slave. It's been a very, very long time since I played the game but remember it being one of my favorite action-adventure games. Excellent dark atmosphere.

Yesterday night I finally found the courage to start level 2 from the beginning again. Your new slave worked perfectly and allowed me to reach the end. Well done!
(Never thought that basically I've been about 20 years just 1 step away from the end...)

that's great news. The first memory setup was wrong, it must have been done from real game execution, but with some memory taken by whatever system state Mick had when he wrote the .slave 20 years ago... which is ... not enough memory, but enough for level 1 to be played and a great part of level 2 too. Vicious.

isn't the street name displayed in the streets? seems unnecessary (and besides the timing of the message doesn't seem to depend on loading times)

yeah, not anyone's fault if italian language is less concise than english... at least there was an effort to translate this game in many languages.

I'd like to correct them to less than 20 chars if I could... "Via delle" for example could be removed in favor of "Mura Orientali 2"
